On Sunday, March 15 we said farewell to our dear dad, Ron Villeneuve, beloved father of Michael, David and Lisa (Michael Watson) — and forever “Grumple Ron” to his only grandchild, Christopher.
Ron was the only child of the late Hayes and Lydia (Lil) Villeneuve and was raised in the Kilmar, Grenville and Hawkesbury region. He later worked and lived in Montreal, Toronto, Saint John, Halifax, Newmarket and Bracebridge. Predeceased by his first wife Eva Vivian Scott and second wife Anne Smith, he finally settled in Winchester to be near family and the country life he loved.
Notoriously stubborn, Ron met his match with the team at Dundas Manor, who rose to the challenge of loving Dad through his dementia with great humour and respect. We will forever be grateful for their loving care and kindness to all of us.
