February 24, 2021 at 12:01 pmDebbie and I became fast friends when she spent time with her grandfather, Frank Lawrence. I felt like his granddaughter too. Debbie and I had sleepovers when her parents operated the Roebuck store. Her Dad, Bob, often had to tell us to pipe down when we were giggling and talking too late. Even in high school we continued to be besties and confidantes. I have many, many good memories of the time we spent together. The last time I saw Debbie was at the 50th anniversary of South Grenville DHS. RIP Debbie.

February 25, 2021 at 5:34 pmDearest Krista, Meah and the rest of Deb’s family, please accept my deepest condolences on your loss. As Meah’s Kindergarten teacher, I had the pleasure of meeting Deb last year. Each morning after her bus route she would come in to give Meah a hug. All of our students called her ‘Grandma Deb’ and more than one got a morning hug from her. I was often the lucky recipient of her hugs as well. She was a kind and gentle soul who showed genuine care and interest in everyone she met. I am so grateful our paths crossed and will miss our morning chats. Sending hugs, strength and prayers to you all. Be at peace Deb. Xo
