I’m so sorry for the family to hear of Gary’s passing. I have memories of him and Dawna taking a drive and stopping to visit at our family (Bergeron) farm in Vermont when their children were little. He always had a friendly smile and good chats with my Dad.

My deepest condolences to the Hoy family. It was nice seeing your dad last month, so happy to sit and talk with neighbours he hadn’t seen for a while. I hadn’t spoken to him in years but it felt like yesterday. He was reminiscing on times with my dad and I do believe he’ll be there to meet him on the other side. All my love, Mallory Blaine

Our sympathy goes to the Hoy and Fife families for their loss. How many games of hockey did I play with Gary? It had to be in the hundreds and he was always happy, a pleasure to play with and a good friend.

My deepest sympathy to you on the passing of Gary. He was an admired and respected farmer in the area. I have many memories of working with Dawna and Gary on the Ontario Farm Management Program discussing the bottom line of farming. He always looked on the positive side of life and one of his comments after the hail damaged a lot of crops along Kerr’s Ridge Road, he said there will be another crop next year. He was a great supporter of the Dundas Soil and Crop Association and it was so nice to see Tyler take on some of the leadership in this group. He always made time for a chat whether at a farm event or at the grocery store. We celebrate a life well lived. Phyllis MacMaster
