Mathilde Winter of Hallville, beloved wife of the late Heinz Winter passed away peacefully at Bayfield Manor on Tuesday April 5, 2022. Mathilde was born on February 23, 1927 in Ofingen, Germany. She married Heinz in 1952 and then immigrated to Canada. A hard working mother, farmer and gardener, Mathilde leaves behind Gisela (Pierre), Karl , Evelyn (Larry), Sue (Carl), Rosy (David), Eric (Rhonda) and Ron as well as her one remaining sibling in Germany – Irma Marquardt. “Oma” will be remembered and missed by her many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at Hallville United Church, County Road # 43 at Church Road, on Saturday April 9, 2022 at 11 a.m. By family request donations may be made to the Hallville United Church.
