Wilfred George Goddard

Peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital onWednesday August 25, 2021. Wilfred Goddard age 89 of Kemptville. Predeceased by his wives Margaret Spurle (December 26, 2002) and Wendy Joly (March 6, 2019). Wilf leaves behind his extended family in England, many friends and those friends that turned into his family, He will be greatly missed by Andrea Briggs, Candice Thompson, Joyce Wilson, Stephanie Dion, Michelle Shaver and their families. Wilf’s love for flowers brought him to Canada at a young age, where he successfully ran 2 flower shops and a landscaping company. Upon his retirement he could often be found boarding a Via Rail train to travel Canada. He would often travel to Florida with Joyce and Howard Wilson, where he could be found putting his unique green thumb talents into gardens. We would like to thank Kemptville Retirement Living, Kemptville District Hospital, Winchester District Memorial Hospital and especially Dundas Manor for making Wilf’s final years so enjoyable. Donations would be greatly appreciated to the WDMH Foundation for the New Dundas Manor Fund, cheques must be made payable to the WDMH Foundation and Note: “Please Notify the Family”. By Wilf’s request a Graveside Service will be held at the South Gower Cemetery  501 South Gower Drive, Kemptville on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at 2 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the Byers Funeral Home, South Mountain (613-989-3836).
