Victoria Madeleine Cook (Nee Vranderick) November 19, 1939 - June 17, 2020

Peacefully at the Garden Villa, on Wednesday June 17, 2020, Vicky Cook age 80 of Chesterville. Beloved Mom of Jacqueline Cook (Jon Eckler) and Janice (Phil) Carkner. Dear Step Mother of Beth Trobridge (Peter). Cherished ‘Mugga’ of Lucas Eckler and adored ‘Nana’ of Dylan, Lily and Weston Carkner. Predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Nicolas Vranderick, and her siblings Nicolas, Bruno, Pierre and Rosalie. Dear sister-in-law of Carmen Touchette and Helene Paquin. Thank you to the Staff at the Garden Villa and to Dr. Bart Steele for your care and kindness. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Vicky may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.     Dear Jacqueline, Janice and families. We are so sorry for your loss. Vicky was such a sweet, gentle, and kind person, a wonderful mother, mother in law, Mugga ,and Nana. We have many fond memories of Vicky. We will miss her visits to Toronto. We enjoyed getting together with her especially at Christmas and Thanksgiving. Her broccoli and cauliflower salad and sticky squares were delicious! Our sincerest sympathies to you.

I have very fond memories of her while growing up whether it was managing the mayhem at birthday parties and sleepovers, supporting school events at St. Mary’s Chesterville and the weekly chauffeuring of us to piano lessons on Friday night in Cornwall.
