Joyously meeting her Lord and Savior Jesus, and many loved ones gone before. Much loved wife of 57 years to Johannes W. “Jan” “John” Vermeulen. (Deceased) June 27th 2019. First born child of ten children born to Bert and Della Casselman. Sister to Donny (Elaine), Betty (Ben), Faye (Harold), Linda, Dale, Terry (Dale) and predeceased by Glen, Ricky and Gary. Mother “Mom” of Lynn Marie Parker (Jeremy) and Brian (Natalie). Loved “Nana” to four dear grandsons Joshua, Kaleb, Isaac, and Zachary Parker. One granddaughter Hannah Parker (deceased). Also many nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law to Sonja Vermeulen, Richard Vermeulen (Maria) and Carla Vermeulen and families, all of Holland. Here in Ottawa, and elsewhere, Sandra Allan (Jim), Sonja Vermeulen (Mike) and Carl Vermeulen (Stephanie), and their extended families. Special mention of a “dear friend” and mentor “Doreen McRobbie with whom weekly phone calls and laughs were shared” when they were so much needed.” “Thanks Doreen” “you were the best” “a treasured friendship”

As Jean wanted, Cremation will be taking place. A visitation will be held at the Byers Funeral Home, 2990 Church Street, South Mountain (613-989-3836) on Monday July 11 2022 from 11 a.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Private Family interment South Gower Cemetery. Donations to Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) or the Canadian Bible Society 10 Carnforth Road, Toronto, ON M4A 2S4 or a Charity of Your Choice. No Flowers Please.

    I went to school with Jean and some of the older members of the family. The school was SS#I ( Flegg School ). Jean was always happy and loved to meet old school friends.Sorry to read of her death .May the many memories we all have help through this difficult time. Glenn Becksted along the St Lawrence.
