Thelma Virginia Robar (Nee Conrad) October 12, 2021

Winchester, Ontario

Peacefully and comfortably, Thelma, 96, passed away at Dundas Manor, in Winchester. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Robar. Much loved Mom of Douglas (Jan), Karen (Brian) and Judith (Soren). She was the very proud grandmother to Anna, Eryn, Kevin, Stephen, Kerilyn, Megan, Christopher, Michael, Andrew, Katerina, and Paul and even prouder Great-grandmother (GG) to 11. She was also a beloved Aunt to six nieces and nephews.

Thelma was predeceased by her siblings Marian Commerford (2021) and Douglas Conrad (1939). Her brother-in-law John A. (Jack) Commerford, is currently a resident at the Perley Health Centre, Ottawa, and her sister-in-law Hazel Robar resides in Greenfield Park, QC.

Thelma, until her health no longer permitted, was very active at all the churches she attended during her life.  She led Children’s Choirs, took seriously the role of Wardens and helped where-ever she could.  She also held positions in the Order of the Eastern Star in Trois Rivieres, Iroquois Falls, Ottawa, and Winchester.  When Karen and Judith were young, she was also a Brown Owl for their units.

Thelma requested that donations be made to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) Foundation for Dundas Manor.

The family extends many, many thanks for the excellent care she received at Dundas Manor during her stay.
