Pierre Francois Simard - Byers Funeral Home

Peacefully, surrounded by his family in Kemptville District Hospital on Monday March 25, 2024. Pierre, a man who loved projects, golf and times with close friends and family. left us at the all- too- young age of 68. Pierre was the dearly loved husband of Gisela Winter. He was also a dad to Alex Simard (Liz) and step-dad to Dean Kerr (Meagan). Perhaps even more importantly, Pierre was a grandfather to Gabi Simard (just 4 months old), Aubrey and Harry Kerr and Fionna Kerr. Pierre leaves behind a brother, Jacques (Monique) and sister, Jocelyn (Richard) and many nieces and nephews. Pierre is predeceased by siblings Yollande (Jean), Nicole (Andre) and Francine (Bernard). Pierre will be much missed by all 3 generations of the Winter family. Finally, a small but cherished group of dear friends will also be missing Pierre.

By Pierre’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 212, 100 Reuben Crescent, Kemptville, Ontario on Saturday, April 6^th, 2024 from 1 – 4 pm. Memories will be shared at approximately 2:30 pm.
