Peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Thursday December 11, 2014. Mary Westenbroek in her 87th year of Winchester Springs. Beloved wife of the late Tony Westenbroek. Loving Mom of Gerry (Rachel), Tony (Glen), Peter (Roxanne) and the late Henry (Debbie). Cherished Grandma of Paul (Debbie), Jack (Meredith), Alodie, Dana, Anthony, Mieke, Katherine, Anneke and great-grandchildren Chloe, Kinsey, Broden, Luke, Blake, and Hewitt. Survived by three sisters in Holland.

My Dutch grandparents from Wolvega were family friends of the Westenbroeks in the Netherlands. We in Ottawa visited Mary and Tony at their family farm whenever our Oma and Opa came from Holland to see us. I have fond memories of Mary’s warm hospitality. She was a wonderful person and her passing is a great loss.
