Peacefully at Southbridge Long Term Care in Kemptville on Saturday, July 27, 2024,
Martha Seguin, age 94, of Kemptville, passed away. Beloved mother, grandmother, and
great-grandmother, Martha was known for her unwavering kindness, vibrant spirit, and
deep love for her family and community.
She will be dearly missed by her children Harold Workman (Evelene), Betty
Malcomnson (late Richard), Carol Workman, her grandchildren Lana Hess (Alan),
Rhonda Holmes (Jeff), Brenda Scott (Allan), Brandon Smith, Kelly Workman (Kristan),
Robin Workman (Jessica) and Heather Workman (Joey), and her 15 great-
grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Predeceased by her husbands Sam
Seguin and Lloyd Workman, her sons Larry Workman (Nancy) and David Workman, as
well as her siblings Ruby Boyd, John Bolton and Bert Bolton.
At Martha’s request, cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held at Byers
Funeral Home, 2990 Church Street, South Mountain (613-989-3836), from 6:00 p.m. to
9:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024. A Memorial Service will follow at the Heckston
United Church, 256 South Gower Drive, on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., with a
luncheon to follow at the church. All are welcome to attend. Interment will take place at
Adams Cemetery in Ventnor following the luncheon.
At Martha’s request, donations may be made to the Heckston United Church.
