Lily Rose Spong nee Wright March 2, 2017

Spong/Lily Rose (nee Wright)

>

> It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful Mother/Baba/Great-Baba.

> Mom was born in Moosejaw Saskatchewan to parents Frederick Wright & Lily Needham Wright Ross. She was one of 7 children (survived by sister Noreen (Eugene) Walker)

> Mom, very proudly, attended the Academy of our Sisters of Sion girls school in Moosejaw. After graduation, she moved to Hamilton where she worked as a switchboard operator for Bell Canada. She met and married Lorne Spong. They raised their family on the Hamilton Mountain and were the owners of Fenworth Travel and Hi-Light Tours. They enjoyed many years of travelling before Dad’s passing in 1995.

> Mom was a long standing member of St Micheals Anglican Church. She served as the directress of the Altar Guild for many years and always held her church family close to her heart.

> She was a wonderful, fun and loving Mother to Paul (Gail) and Nancy (Bob). A cherished Baba to Adam (Linda), Amanda (Daniel), Nicholas (Meaghan) and Stephanie. A much loved Great-Baba to Scarlet, Hailey, Alex, Brianna and Mackenzie.
