It saddened me greatly, and tears came to my eyes, when I learned of the passing of Mrs. Jorgensen.
So many wonderful memories passed over me, days of my childhood, when I’d visit Heather, great friend and neighbour, and the warm welcome Laura gave me, as she always treated me like a mother. I remember how spotless her house was, the jam cookies we’d find in her freezer, the way she’d come into the living room, as we’d play, the way she’d finish drying her hands with the t-towel, while taking the time to ask me how I was, and always share a little story of her own, behind a cheery, wide smile. I will always remember how much she meant to me, and the kind woman that she was. Sending my heartfelt condolences to Heather, Gerald, Dave, and families.

Laura was a lovely, gracious lady. She had been an important member of our Mats for Haiti group and worked diligently on that project. We were all so blessed to have her join us for some of our Christmas concerts. I know how much she will be missed by her family and friends
