Rest in peace Dad. I will miss our talks, and what you so affectionately referred to as, “The smack talk”. You loved to laugh and always surrounded yourself with Loving family and friends. Your work ethic and perserverance were like none I’ve ever seen. You taught me the value of working hard ,to keep my head down and keep pushing until good things happen. I will forever be grateful to you for that and promise to do my best to carry these values forward. I’m not sure who you visited first, but please pass on my love to all those wonderful people. I can only imagine there’s one hell of a card game and a lot of laughs where you are. Rest peacefully and know I’ll look after things until we meet again.

    Love always,

    Bob

My sincere condolences to Bob, Andrea and family.

Many great memories living side by side all those years. Oh the card games were great. Even of our failed ideas of blowing snow with the lawnmower. I will miss you and Doris more than words can say.

    Catch you later John.

Deepest sympathy to Bob and family . I had nothing but upmost respect for John. He will never be replaced in my books. The world has lost one of the most honest, respected and funny men I have ever had the privilege of knowing. I called him “bro”. He was the highlight of our working days at sears. No matter what was going on with him he ALWAYS tried to remain upbeat and happy and always brightened my day. He liked to chuckle at how much he loved his daily banterings with Bob. He was so proud of his son. He will rest in peace now with his beloved Dotsie and his daughter.
Rest in peace bro…. You were always my inspiration to be a better person.

    Rest Easy Gramps.

Gramps was a master craftsman, who poured his heart and soul into every thing he created. His incredible talent and attention to detail were evident in all of his work, and he lives on through the countless pieces he has left behind.

Aside from his passion for woodworking, he was an avid fisherman and spent many afternoons teaching my Brother Bradley and I the art of fishing. His humor, and kindness were unparalleled, and he was loved by all who knew him.

We will all miss him greatly, but we take comfort in knowing that he is now resting in peace.

I hope that wherever you are, you have a big comfy chair to relax in and some Simpsons playing on the TV.

With lots of Love, Ryan, Danielle and your Great Grandson Grayson. ❤️

RIP John, my friend of so many years …… hope you and Doris are having a good chinwag! I have so many memories of shared times with Tom and you both, along with Andrea, Bob, Bradley, Ryan Philip and Michelle…. Later with Danielle and Roma. A great day when you met your great-grandson Grayson.
I remember great meals in your kitchen or by the screen house if you were barbecuing.
We all felt like one family thanks to your kindness.
Tom and I both felt blessed that Andrea became a part of your family.
Both you and Doris passed on great family values which are carried on today by your son and his family.
Rest easy John… hope you meet my Tom up there and share a beer!

    To the Rintoul Family

My sincere condolences on the loss of John. He was my manager at the Sears warehouse on Walkley Rd. From 87 to 92. Always sharp with wit and humour, it was tough for him to manage a young college twerp like me. The whole parts and services team respected his dedication and leadership and his ability to roll with the jokey punches. I am sure he is sorely missed.
