Helen Irene Moorhouse (Nee Tansley) September 6, 1938 - May 17, 2019

Peacefully at Dundas Manor on May 17 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Donald, dear mother of Dale (Ed), Neil (Arlene), Evan (Laura), sister of Gerald Tansley (Judy), sister-in-law of Muriel Milne and Allan & Mary Moorhouse. She will be missed by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or funeral.  A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date for family. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Kemptville District Hospital or Dundas Manor Activity Fund would be greatly appreciated. A special thanks to the staff at Dundas Manor for their compassion & kindness. Arrangements entrusted to the Byers Funeral Home, South Mountain (613-989-3836).     Don and family….My sincerest condolences to all of you over the loss of Helen…She was “my lady” who could make me laugh on some bad days …Her comments and facial expressions were some things that I will never forget…Last year for her birthday I woke her up at 6 am to have coffee and a muffin to celebrate our day …she was 80 and I was 50 …she said thanks babe but next year can you wait til 8….so this year on September 6 I will have a coffee and muffin at 8 and will think of you. Rest In Peace Helen…

    Our deepest sympathies on the loss of a very special lady! The memories I have of her I will always hold near and dear to my heart! I pray that the many precious memories you have of her will help ease the pain of losing her.
    Her HUGS were simply the very best ,anyone who has ever had her arms wrapped around them knows exactly what I mean! You felt her love instantly! The love she had for her family ,her grand kids and great grandkids was always felt….Helen loved her family unconditionally….
    I know for me ,my life was forever changed the day I met her back in Dec 1980 ….. thanks for the many happy times we spent together Helen , they mean the world to me!
    Until we meet again Special lady, please know that you are loved and missed more than words can ever express!

    Don and Family – My memories of Helen go back to our high school days at Hallville. Life was so much simpler then … with an unknown future before us. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. May her soul rest in peace.
