Peacefully at the Dundas Manor on Sunday April 5, 2020. Trudy Baker age 63 of Winchester. Beloved wife of the late Dennis Baker. Loving daughter of Dirk Adrianus Don and the late Petronella Klasina Don. Cherished sister of Bill (Clare), Joan Don, Eric (Marni), Derrick (Emily) and David (Anna). Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Although she had many physical challenges, the joy of our Lord always shone through in her life. She enjoyed music, played piano, and knew many songs by heart. She spent 7 years in Holland as a child where she attended a school for the blind, living with her aunts and uncles and travelling home to Ontario for the summers. Trudy will be sadly missed. A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Byers Funeral Home, South Mountain (613-989-3836). April 9, 2020 at 3:05 pmDear family,
I am the eldest brother of Maria Doelman/VanEgten/Turner who lives in Kemptville. Maria and her late husband Gerard use to be friends of Nel and Dirk.
We met Trudy in 1988 when she married Dennis. My sister had made the wedding dress and I was asked to make the wedding pictures which I did.
The last time we (me and my wive Nelie) saw Trudy was in 2015 in Merricksville which was rather sad occurrence.

April 13, 2020 at 3:11 pmI am Hans Don the youngest son of Joop and Bep Don and herewith wish to express our sincere condoleances on behalf of my mother and family and wish you all lots of strength in these sad and difficult times.
It occurred a number of times that my mother mentioned that she was curious to learn about our family in Canada. I do recall as a child that Trudy stayed in Bartiméus in Zeist learning braille and sometimes visited our home and we all went to the park for a walk with the family and the dog. I believe my mother even has photo’s from me and my brothers Wim and Frans with Trudy and our dog.
With kind regards to all of you!
