Eric John McDermid - Byers Funeral Home

Suddenly at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday November 27, 2024, Eric McDermid age 65 of South Mountain passed away. Beloved son of Marjorie (Nee Burke) and the late Ken McDermid. Loving husband of Mary (VanLanen). Cherished Step-Dad of Jennifer Stafford (Brett) and Robert Giesel. Dearly loved Poppa of Zander, Audrey and Madilynne. Missed by his siblings Neil (Ann), Brenda Bryan (Doug), Lana LeClair (Jeff), Donna Willows (Richard), Robert (Sherrie) and the late Karen Armstrong (late Dave). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and the VanLanen Family.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Mountain Township Agricultural Hall 2967 Lough Road, South Mountain on Sunday December 1, 2024 from 1 to 3 p.m. By Family request donations in Memory of Eric may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Canada.
