It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Dwight Hubert Barkley has quietly passed away in his 89th year. He leaves behind his loving wife of 57years, Helen Barkley (Walker) and his three children Crystal Mowbray (Michael), Dennis Barkley (Amanda), Brian Barkley (Nadine), his six grandchildren Christopher Mowbray (Angel), Trevor Mowbray (Jenna), Holly Barkley (Sarah), Nathan Barkley, Kaitlyn Barkley and Karlie Barkley Plus the 2 newest additions a great grandson, Patrick Mowbray and a great granddaughter Eleanor Mowbray. Dwight is youngest of 6 children, predeceased by all of his siblings. He will be missed by his extended family and many long time neighbours and friends. Dwight has spent his life helping others, always offering a helping hand to fix a vehicle or an appliance. Known for his many, many years as Head Cheese Maker at the Hyndman Cheese factory. Winning many ribbons at local fairs for his cheese. He followed this full career with a second career as a Stationary Engineer at the Brockville Psychiatric Hospital. A family man who worked hard everyday to make a difference. He loved to ride his lawn mower, play with his dog, work in his garage, split firewood or play in his garden. His home was his castle and he will be missed.
The family would like to thank the staff at Wellington House Long Term Care in Prescott for your kind and compassionate care.
