Peacefully at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital on Monday December 30, 2013. Durk Sterkenburgh, age 60 of R.R. # 3 Mountain. Beloved husband of Neeltje Sterkenburgh ( Joostema). Loving Dad of Sjoerd and Hein at home. Cherished brother of Bouwe and Jantje Sterkenburgh of the Netherlands. Predeceased by his parents Ynze and Tjitske (Blanksma) Sterkenburgh. Fondly remembered by the Joostema Family in the Netherlands.

Durk will rest at the First Christian Reform Church, 2455 County Road 18, Kemptville on Thursday January 2, 2014 from 1 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Spring Interment South Gower Cemetery. Meeting Durk and seeing him accept John 3:16 for his own passage to heaven was a privilege. How fondly he spoke of his wife, boys and farm. May God give him eternal rest.
