Dorothy Marguerite Boewe (Nee Blow)

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dorothy Boewe (Nee Blow), aged 94, announces her peaceful passing on December 18, 2024, at the Winchester District Memorial Hospital. A longtime resident of South Mountain, she was the beloved wife of the late Ed Boewe and a loving mother to her loving son, Ted Boewe.

Cherished sister of the late Gordon “Junior” Blow. Predeceased by her parents, Lena (Robinson) and Gordon William Blow, and fondly remembered by many cousins and friends.

Dorothy lived a life of faith, kindness, and service. She proudly worked as a Stenographer with the Royal Canadian Air Force Benevolent Fund, contributing her skills and dedication to supporting others. In her later years, she remained deeply connected to her community as an active and devoted member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Mountain where her faith and compassion inspired all who knew her. She offered her time and talents to the church in many ways, fostering meaningful relationships and strengthening her spiritual home.

Dorothy will be remembered for her warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Despite the challenges she faced in recent years with dementia, her sweetness and grace never wavered.

A celebration of Dorothy’s life will take place at Byers Funeral Home, 2990 Church Street, South Mountain (613-989-3836) on Monday, December 23, 2024, from 1 p.m. until the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Spring Internment will be held at South Gower Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation are gratefully accepted.
