Born in Crysler to her parents Honore M. Gibeault and Juliette Masse. She worked as a housekeeper and married Gerard Belanger on October 19, 1942. Together they farmed north of Brinston where they were blessed with two children Gerald and Cecile. After Gerard and Doris retired in 1978 they moved to South Mountain. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League at St. Daniel’s Catholic Church, South Mountain, ON. Doris is survived by her children Cecile Lalonde of South Mountain, Gerald Belanger (Shirley) of Cardinal, her grandchildren Lisa (Garry), Craig (Crystal), Blair (Robyn); her great-grandchildren Chris (Beckie), Justin (Heather),Hailey, Reagan, Nolan, Blayn, Hudson; her great-great grandchildren Morgan, Chase, Liam, Silver; her sister Denise (Gilbert) of Orleans, Simone Lamoureux (late Adrien)of Embrun, and predeceased by her brothers Maurice (Oriande), Armand (Theresa), and Richard (Theresa) Gibeault. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

December 11, 2017 at 12:00 amI have so many memories of my Memmer she was one of the strongest women I knew she was always there for me and my brother wether we missed the bus and called her to drive us to school so we wouldn’t get in trouble by mom she never did tell on us to makeing sure we never whent hungry on her watch especially the cookies she always had and strawberries. I’m very thankful for the many years we had together (30) she was even able to see me become a man and start a family of my own my kids have memories with her that alone is a gift that her memory will live on through them even after my time. I will miss her deeply and she will always be a part of me.
