Peacefully at the Garden Villa Retirement Home, Chesterville on Sunday April 18, 2021. Doris Baldwin in her 99th year, originally of South Mountain/Inkerman. Predeceased by her husband Ralph Baldwin. Loving Mother of Suzanne (Joel) Thompson of Hallville. Cherished Grandma of Amanda Thompson (Mike Davidson) of Winchester and Jason Thompson of Victoria B.C. Very special Great-Grandma to Sloan and Peyton Davidson. Doris is survived by her sister of Donna (Glenn) Beckstead of Morrisburg and predeceased by sisters Agnes (late Gordon) Marriner, Margaret (late Lloyd) Millward and (late Ben Ouderkirk). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Our family wishes to thank Doris’s many friends for their support and kind acts in recent years. Gratitude is also extended to Dr. Bhagirath and Nurse Tara for their excellent care given these past weeks, words can’t express how much we appreciate your help. Thanks also to the staff at Garden Villa for their care and compassion. Due to Covid restrictions there will be no visitation; a private funeral will be held, with arrangements entrusted to Byers Funeral Home, South Mountain, (613-989-3836), interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery. Donations in memory of Doris can be made to the Winchester District Memorial Hospital, the Carefor Nor-Dun Seniors’ Centre, Winchester or a charity of choice.
