Dawna Hoy (Nee Fife) May 11, 1948 - September 7, 2018

Suddenly at home on Friday September 7, 2018, Dawna Hoy age 70 of Mountain. Beloved wife for 49 years to Gary Hoy. Loving Mom of Melanie Hoy (Mike Hunter) of Sauble Beach, ON, Terri (Ian) Lang of Port Perry, and Tyler Hoy (Lauren Mac Namara) of Mountain. Cherished Grandma of Shyanne Hoy and Luke Lang. Dear sister of Maurice (Ruth) Fife, Maureen (Frances) Ives, Dennis (Mary) Fife, Arlene (George) Bryan and the late Mervyn Fife. Predeceased by her parents Annie Oulton and Jimmy Fife. Daughter-in-law of Mary Hoy. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and the Hoy Family. A Visitation will be held at the Byers Funeral Home, 2990 Church Street, South Mountain from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday September 10, 2018 and Tuesday September 11, 2018 at the Winchester United Church 519 St. Lawrence Street from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11 a.m. By family request donations may be made to the Winchester Legion Branch # 108 or the Winchester United Church Restoration Fund.  On-line condolences may be made at www.byersfuneralhomeinc.ca

    Dawna had such a colourful spirit. I worked with her on hockey committees years ago and she was never afraid to speak her mind but never hesitated to lend a hand either.
