Peacefully at the Kemptville District Hospital on Wednesday May 5, 2021. Carolyn McLellan age 80 of Mountain. Beloved wife of Winston McLellan. Survived by her loving husband of 60 years and was a loving Mom of Teresa McLellan (Jeff Riman), Chris McLellan, and Tara Mayne (Richard).  Cherished Grandma of Shelby Jordan (Chris), Brittany Coughler; Jacob and Kaity McLellan; Matthew and Daniel Mayne. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and the McLellan Family. Predeceased by her parents Laura (Hyndman) and Lawson Smith. A Private Family Visitation and Service will be held at the Byers Funeral Home, South Mountain (613-989-3836). Special thanks to Dr. Luong, the Staff at Kemptville District Hospital, Dr. Lacroix at the Montfort Hospital and Dr. Sabloff and the Leukemia Team at the Ottawa General Hospital.

Carolyn and Winston were a matching pair as they had an active life together as a team but now one is missing. They were always there for each other when needed and now Carolyn will be sadly missed as part of that loving team. One day once again their spirits will join again to be a team in a more heavenly place.

We feel we have little to offer when you have lost so much. We can only share our deep condolences and remember fondly the times we got to share with Carolyn. She was a sweet, gentle and kind lady. To live on in the hearts of those we love, is not to die. Grief is the price we pay for love. Hoping you’ll find comfort in the happy memories you have of Carolyn to help you through the days ahead. Peace! Love, Karen, Michael, Kyla and Mitchell Mayne

My deepest condolences. When I heard about Mrs. McLellan’s death, I could feel my chest get heavy with sadness. Although I haven’t seen her in years, I have so many found memories from growing up with Tara. My fondest memory was that it was always my favourite home to visit at Halloween – she would give us a whole chocolate bar! My prayers are with the whole family as you journey through the grief. I will remember her as a strong and kind woman.
