Barbara Anne Bungay (nee Bronsdon)

The family of Barbara-Anne (Bronsdon) are sad to announce her passing,after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She had been under the fine care of Dundas Manor (Winchester, ON.) for several years. The passing took place on September 20,2017. She leaves behind her loving husband of over 60 years (Gerry), her sons Gerry Jr. (Francine),and Gregory,grandchildren Colby (Nyssa),Ethan,and great grandson Beau,Sister-in-laws Gloria Bungay,and Eha Bronsdon (Kajak) (late Rupert),and Brother -in-law Wayne Bungay. She also leaves many cousins,nieces and nephews. Born in Montreal on August 04 1935 to Freeda (Fauteux) and C Rupert Bronsdon. She attended Wellington Public School, West Hill High, and Sir George Williams College. After College she worked as a legal secretary,taking time off to be a stay at home mom. Family employment moved the Family a few times, and she was also secretary to the financial head at Sandoz Chemical in Dorval QC. She was active in both the Sweet Adelines and Harmony Inc. barbershop Choruses . She knitted beautiful afghans,and loved her rescue dogs. Barbara and Gerry purchased a Family bakery in Cobourg On. (Andrew’s) and ran it successfully, until medical concerns forced the sale. After which the Winters were spent in the South , and Barbara volunteered over 1000 hours in a medical hospital.She enjoyed playing bridge,golfing,and days with her Family. A relocation in 1992 to Kemptville On. allowed her to be closer to her children.
