Allison was certainly on the Mount Rushmore of dairy breeders in Canada if not the world as evidenced by the very large number of superior cattle he bred. He was a giant in the dairy industry. Fortunately, he passed on his knowledge to his family (in particular Dave) and all cattle breeders that sought his advice.
His stories about the early days of local cattle shows and the progress made throughout the years were all very interesting. He was a wealth of history and information. Allison was always pleasant and helpful.
He will be missed by his family, his community, fellow cattle breeders and the dairy industry.
Please accept my sincerest condolences and sympathies.

I remember taking care of him once when a pt. on 1st fl. ; going off the hs. shift I sensed he’d be awake & craving his morning coffee – he was & appreciated it very much lol – I told him us farmers have to stick together (mentioned Dad – Garfield Baker – who he knew.) It was wonderful to watch him , even when ‘up in yrs.’ drive his horses & wagon @ the Metcalfe Fair – for which he was honoured !! May all family members allow their many, many memories to console U all @ this difficult time ……may he R.I.P. – well earned………..
