Dyks, Albert

Age 72-Born May 28th,1941 in Sellingen, Holland. Passed away tragically and unexpectedly April 30, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Ina (nee DeVries), and his children Patti Wijsman (Vince), Lisa Jahncke (Rob), and Derek Dyks (Tracey). He was fiercely proud of his grandchildren David, Joel, Mieka, Mikaela, Benjamin, Isaac, Aaron and Caleb. Brother of John Dyks (Shirley) and Tryn Steenwyk. Will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched. Albert was a man who, above all else, loved God and family. This was reflected through his passion for community service. He was selfless and compassionate in his endeavor to help those in need locally and abroad.

The family will receive friends at the Kemptville Christian Reformed Church 2455 County Road 18, Kemptville, Tuesday May 6, 2014 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., where a Celebration of Albert’s life will be held on Wednesday May 7, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Oxford Mills Cemetery.
