Our Story

In 1992, Lyle and Gloria Byers purchased a property in South Mountain where they envisioned Byers Funeral Home. Gloria and her daughter, Victoria, decided to incorporate the business, Byers Funeral Home Inc., which opened in April, 1993.

Byers Funeral Home Inc. offers full service funerals and attends to the needs of our community with compassion, care, and efficiency.

Embracing both traditional values and diversity in honouring the individual wishes, Byers Funeral Home Inc (License #185) offers a full line of Funeral, Cremation, and Celebrant Services.

Meet Victoria Byers

Owner, Operator, Funeral Director
License #201768, Funeral Director Class 1 – Embalming

Victoria was raised on a family farm in Chesterville. She graduated from Humber College in 1989, and has been a licensed funeral director for more than 25 years.

She is the proud mother of two grown daughters, Chloe and Halee.

She enjoys antiques, and is proud to serve this rural community.
