Ian William Glaister Shantz April 24, 1960 - October 7, 2023

Ian Shantz age 63 of Boucks Hill. On Saturday October 7, 2023, Ian left the Shire to take the final ship into the West. The night sky has a brilliant new star. Beloved Dad of Dylan and Eric Shantz. Cherished fiancé of Elaine Deneumoustier. Loving brother of Bruce Shantz and Helen-Louise (Andrew) Coppin. Cherished uncle of Neil, Bryan, Kevin, Sarah and Ian. Predeceased by his parents Grace (Dobson) and Murray Shantz. Cremation. For those wishing donations in Memory of Ian may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. A celebration of his life will be held in the spring or summer of 2024.     This is just unbelievable news. I’ve known Ian for many years through kickboxing and hanging out at events. I luckily also have a piece of his artwork – he was so very talented. He always had a smile on his face and a funny story to tell. He will be missed.

    My condolences to Ian’s family and friends. He was one of the characters that made life interesting. I’m fortunate to have worked with Ian for many years and I’m glad to have some carvings he made to remember him by.

    Ian leaves behind a veritable legacy at Bradley Air Services and I feel blessed to have known and worked with him for 30+ years with so many fond memories. He spoke often of his family and his pride and love for his sons was always evident. May your memories together bring you all strength through this very difficult time. He will not be forgotten.
