June 21, 2018 at 6:55 amCor, my sweet kind gentle friend who inspired me, taught me about resilience and courage and optimism, who shared her heart and much laughter with me, I have loved your curiosity, your compassion, you are my hero.
Over 30 years ago, in Vancouver, Cor convinced me I could no longer lease a horse, it was like sharing a boyfriend and despite my trepidation, assured me it would all turn out fine, took me by the hand as we drove off giggling on various weekends looking for my special horse,Teddy.
Life later brought us to different places far away, but so lucky for us Corinne found me once more so we could share our hearts again, more stories, and more laughter.
I will continue on my journey wherever it leads but always wishing to share the experiences with you, Cor.
Doug my deepest condolences, you shared great adventures, you built a beautiful home together filled with love, ( and many house ponies 🙂
You gave Corinne normalcy where few could amongst the biggest challenges and such hope that meant absolutely everything.
I wish you strength in all the days ahead, and that many needed kindnesses will come your way to lift your spirits and in so many different ways you will feel Cor’s embrace.
XO Sharon

July 1, 2018 at 2:07 amDoug,
Doug and I were very much saddened to hear of Corrine’s passing.
Doug would tell me of the good chats they would have at their chemo treatment days, and of course horses and donkey’s were a topic of conversation!
I only had the pleasure of meeting you both the day that you came to see the horses. I had hoped that all was going well for Corrine and that maybe we would meet again.
She was always in our thoughts and prayers.
Our sincere condolences. Take care of yourself and think of the happy times.
