February 11, 2018 at 12:00 amHeartfelt sympathies to Katheryn, the children and the rest of Ed’s family. We have never met, but my wife Renee and I knew Ed through our mutual friend Rob. We first met Ed over 25 years ago — he and Rob and Brian Lund were quite a trio. Ed was without a doubt the gentleman of the bunch, and we truly enjoyed what time we spent with him. We last connected via email in Nov. where we hoped to connect over a beer or two before the new year. I’m sorry that didn’t come to pass. He was a lovely man.

February 12, 2018 at 12:00 amI was so sad to hear of Ed’s passing. He was a great guy and will be truly missed. Dan had so much fun working with him in the Simond’s High Resource Room. They were definitely a team and Ed was really missed when he moved to Toronto. We always looked forward to his visits back east when he would stay with us and even brought students to visit wi th us. I have fond memories of Ed sailing with us. It still seems unreal to me that they both ended up with Melanoma. I was so glad that I got to visit Ed in December and shared such a nice time together. He loved you and the children so much and was so proud of you all. My thoughts and prayers are with you Kathryn.
