Peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Sunday July 27, 2025, Verna Simzer of Cardinal formerly of Mountain, age 88.

Beloved wife of the late Lyle Simzer. Predeceased by her companion Eddie Clifford. Loving Mom of Linda (David) Weatherall, Teresa (Rick) Workman, Garry Simzer and the late Ronnie Simzer. Cherished Grandma of Christopher, Shawn (Lauren), Michael (Melissa), Kevin and her great-grandchildren Sophie, Noah, Annaka, Calvin and Bennett. Predeceased by her parents Leona and Elgin Arcand and her siblings Mary Lou Andrews (late Ross) and Bobby Arcand. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

By Verna’s request Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Byers Funeral Home, 2990 Church Street, South Mountain (613-989-3836) on Thursday July 31, 2025, from 1 pm until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 3 p.m. Interment South Gower Cemetery. By Family request donations may be made in Memory of Verna to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
