It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Bob Chambers, age 85 after a short illness on Sat Aug 29, 2026 at the Kemptville District Hospital.
Beloved husband of the late Gail Chambers, cherished father of Cathi (Henry) and David (Rosy). Proud Grandpa to Kelsie (Ben), Cody (Dakota) and Joshua (Christina). Brother to the late Bruce (Carol), Karen (Late Bruno), Gail (Lorne) and Glenn (Bev).
Bob had a Big personality and an even Bigger heart. He was never short of a story to tell, and he loved nothing more than sharing a laugh with family and friends. He had a way of making himself heard and making people smile. His stories – whether told once or a dozen times – were always worth hearing again.
Bob embraced every opportunity to enjoy himself and the people around him. His laughter, his humour, and his larger-than-life presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Bob is now reunited with his wife Gail, with whom he shared many wonderful years of love, laughter and companionship.
The family will host a Celebration of his life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 212, 100 Reuben Cres., Kemptville, on Saturday September 19, 2026, from 1-4 p.m. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to the Kemptville District Hospital.
