We are saddened to announce the passing of Gail Chambers (Genn), age 87, on Tuesday April 7, 2026, at Bruyere Health Centretown (St. Vincent Hospital).
Born in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Her family settled in the Ottawa area where she attended Glebe Collegiate. As a devoted partner to her husband and a working Mom, she established a life she always wanted. She was our home – warm, fun-loving and endlessly kind. She was the person who made everything feel safe, who made ordinary days feel special. Beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Chambers. Loving Mom of Cathi (Henry), David (Rosy) and her angel Robbie. Cherished Grandma of Kelsie, Cody and Joshua.
Dear Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Christine and Harold Genn and brothers Norman “Bud” and Daniel “Danny”.
The family will host a Celebration of her Life at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 212, 100 Reuben Cres. Kemptville on Saturday April 25, 2026 from 1-4 pm. Donations in Memory of Gail may be made to the Kemptville District Hospital.
