August 29, 2026 at 7:14 pmBarb and Family :
My sincere condolences to you I got to know Larry through our work with the schoolboard. I was the Special Education Coordinator. I met you one day at the Lost Villages Museum.
Larry was a role model to us all in the courageous way he delt with ALS.
We corresponded by email until a few weeks ago. I have been battling cancer for the last year and as we corresponded I was always inspired by the way he was facing his challenges.
As a Principal he had a unique but positive way in dealing with his students. His sense of humor had a way of deflating many issues Sometimes I would ask him if he could accept a challenging student from another school in one of his special classes. He would always accept and welcome the new student in a positive way.
I will always remember his smile and sense of humor.
I am sorry but because of my illness I will not be able to attend the services
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
God Bless Larry. He will be missed.

August 30, 2026 at 8:13 amI have known Larry most of my life. We played hockey together. We partied together. We argued politics together – but never lost our friendship or our respect for one another. Larry always showed great determination no matter what he was taking on and this was never more evident than how he dealt with this horrible disease.
He will be greatly missed.
