Kelly Marlene Livingston (nee Vallieres)

It is with extreme sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Kelly Marlene Livingston, age 58, on January 7, 2022 following a courageous battle with ALS. Kelly is survived by Robert, her loving husband of 37 years, their children, Spencer (Marika) and Brandon (Alysha). There wasn’t a day that went by where she didn’t brag about her beautiful grandchildren-Victoria, Rachel, Sawyer and Shiloh Livingston. Born in Middleton, Nova Scotia and raised in Ottawa, Kelly is predeceased by her father, Jean, and mother, Lois, Vallières. She is survived by dear sister Tanya (Gordon) Halley, Derek (Josephine) Vallières, Andrea (Perry) Kelly and her cherished cousin, Lynn Harper-Ciarroni (Bernie). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family members and numerous friends who were her extended family. Kelly touched the lives of so many as a home daycare provider for over 28 years. She lived a life surrounded by family and friends. She loved the outdoors whether it be camping, ATVing or snowmobiling. Her ambition and passion for the community found her volunteering at many local events and organizations. Her volunteerism made her well-known in the snowmobiling community where she served for many years. With the support of her loving family and friends, Kelly lived the past few years with positivity and determination, as she gave her time and commitment for ALS research. The family would like to thank all the health care professionals and doctors at the ALS Rehabilitation Centre and the Saint-Vincent Hospital who comforted and cared for her. A Celebration of Kelly’s beautiful Life will be held at the South Mountain Agricultural Hall 2967 Lough Road on Saturday June 18, 2022 from 1 to 4 p.m. with Toasts to Kelly each hour. Contributions in memory of Kelly can be made to the ALS Society of Canada or to the Saint-Vincent Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to the Byers Funeral Home, South Mountain (613-989-3836).
