Peacefully at the Dundas Manor on Saturday June 2, 2018. John Spruit age 87 of Mountain. Beloved husband of  the late Adriana (Verkleij). Loving Dad of Jane (Lyall) Levere, Betty Spruit (Darren Fleury), late Neil, Maggie Spruit, Joe (Kathryn), Marie Spruit, Henry (Chrissy Harding)(late Diane Seguin), Tony (Shelley) and Johnny (Brandi). Cherished Opa and Grandpa of 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and the late Conner. Dear brother of Mary Vanderlaan (late Leonard) of Winchester, Cor Spruit of Holland and the late Arie, Hein and Agatha. Fondly remembered by the Verkleij Family.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Hall, Chesterville( Please Enter Through Hall Entrance) on Friday June 8, 2018 from 9 a.m. until time of Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. By Family request donations may be made to the Dundas Manor Activity Fund or the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Building Fund.     I am really saddened to hear the news of the passing away of John Spruit. I remember my visits to him at the Manor. He was always very pleasant and smiling. We are going to miss him.
