Peacefully at St. Lawrence Lodge, Brockville on Saturday August 2, 2025. Doug Boyd age 85 of South Mountain. Beloved husband of Ruby (Nee Hunter). Loving Dad of Kim Charlebois (Nancie Brough), Rick (Shelley) Boyd and Dana Boyd-Darling (Dean). Cherished Grandpa of Ashley (Dan) Pettigrew, Britny (Anthony), Brianna (Josh), Brook (Colton), Oliver and the late Travis Dumoulin and his great- grandchildren Makenna, Ethan, Grace, Nola, Charlotte, Ariella, Ava and River. Dear brother of Ted (Jean) Boyd and brother-in-law of Donna Thibert, Nelda Hunter and Joyce Hunter. Predeceased by his parents Gladys & Ernie Boyd. By Doug’s request Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Mountain Township Agricultural Hall 2967 Lough Road, South Mountain on Friday August 8, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of Shared Memories at 12 noon. A Funeral Luncheon will follow everyone welcome. Interment South Gower Cemetery. By family request donations may be made to the South Mountain United Church or C.H.E.O.     We have wonderful memories of the Fireman’s Rooster Roast dances ( Doug was a great polka dancer!), of sing-a-longs, whispered jokes during church, and choir practices. Already miss your great sense of humor.

    Our sincere thoughts are with you Ruby , Dana, and family. Remember good ball games and Doug the Good Pitcher in softball days. The way he slicked his hair back , always a smile. Good student to sit beside in High school as well .
