David Roland Terrance Lizotte

It is with great sadness and a profound sense of loss that we announce that David (Dave) lost his battle with complications of neuroendocrine cancer on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the age of 43 while flying home to Ontario from Alberta. Dave was the beloved husband of Kathryn Robertson and cat Dad to Kesha, Porter and Boris.

Dave was born on August 29, 1977, in High Level, Alberta. Eldest son of Agnes Lizotte (Garland) of Clairmont, Alberta and the late Terry Lizotte. Treasured son-in-law of Sandra and Lynn Robertson of Berwick, Ontario. Cherished grandson of Grethel Lizotte of High Level, Alberta. Favourite brother-in-law of Krista Robertson of Ottawa, Ontario. Dear brother of Joe (Jennifer) Lizotte and Uncle to Courtney and Dominic Lizotte of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Dave will be fondly remembered by his Aunty Patty Lizotte of High Level, Alberta. Dave will be greatly missed by his family, cousins and friends across the country.

After attending culinary school Dave spent the majority of his career working in the Oilfield, mainly in the Wireline division. Dave was an avid golfer and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Dave had a fondness for watching movies and spending time with Kathryn and their kittens.  Dave’s infectious laugh, generous heart and mischievous nature will live on in everyone that knew him.

Dave and Kathryn were married in Grande Prairie, Alberta in 2016 and then moved to Ontario in 2017 where they settled in Winchester in 2018.

Dave’s final wishes were to be cremated, and to have celebrations of life in Ontario and Fort Vermillion, Alberta (final details to be determined). Donations in Memory of Dave may be made to Spencerville TNR Cat Rescue (Ontario), Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association (Alberta), or to CNETS (Canadian Neuroendocrine Tumour Society).  Arrangements entrusted to the Byers Funeral Home, South Mountain (613-989-3836).
