Charlie Burley July 18, 1943 - September 25, 2017

Peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on Monday September 25, 2017. Charlie Burley age 74 of Kemptville. Beloved husband of Donna (Marcell). Loving Dad of Mike (Judy), Brent (Lynn) and Scott (Nicole). Cherished Grandpa of Michaela, Sydney, Amanda, Morgan and Nicholas. Dear brother of Eleanor (late John) Cumming, Warren (Linda), Carol (Frank) Mohan, John (Donna), Jane Menard and Dean (Maureen). Predeceased by his parents Ivan and Grace (Froats) Burley. Fondly remembered brother-in-law of Doug (Brenda) Marcell, Lynda Marcell and many nieces and nephews.

By Charlie’s request Cremation has taken place. A Private Family Graveside Service will be held. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 212, 100 Rueben Cres, Kemptville on Saturday October 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. By family request donations may be made in Memory of Charlie to the Ottawa Hospital- General Campus 6th Floor North West Nurses Station.     I was so sorry to hear about Charlie passing away. I worked with Charlie in Peroxide for many years. He was always a gentleman and we had a lot of enjoyable chats over the years. My thoughts are with all of you, his family, at this sad time.

    Donna and family our sincere condolences. A friend of 40 years ago. A great softball pitcher and just looked at his picture yesterday in a 1974 year book. That was the last time we were together. So sad for your loss. Ted and Betty Taylor.

    We are all so very sorry for the loss of Charlie. I have many fond memories of spending time with the Burley clan. A good part of my childhood was spent across the road from my Grandma’s house. Donna, Mike, Brent and Scott, you are all a part of my family and I mourn the loss of a family member with you. Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

    Always enjoyed times with Charlie. Shared stories of children and grand kids and as he shared his stories he beamed with love and spoke softly so that you had to lean in to listen and he would have some small pun or silly comment to make you chuckle. Can’t be with you in celebration of Charlie’s life but will be with you in spirit and send warm and caring hugs to Donna, children and brothers and sisters
