Carole age 79, devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many, passed peacefully after a short but courageous battle with cancer on January 22, 2026 surrounded by her children at the Kemptville District Hospital. Carole was predeceased by her parents Bert and Violet Kennedy, her brother Randy Kennedy and her spouse Donald Reid.
Carole was a loving Mom of Dawn Blad (Mark), and D.J. (Carlye) Blad. Cherished Grandma of Riley (Ashley), Kyra (Vinny), Teagan, Makena and Great-Grandma of Benjiman and Paisley. Dear sister of Anita, Corrine (Garry O’Reilly), Stephen (Daryl), David (Virginia), Dale (Emma), Laura Lee, Kim (the late Rob Wilson), Shawn, and Brian Cauvier. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and the Reid Family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Byers Funeral Home, 2990 Church Street, South Mountain (613-989-3836) on Saturday February 21st, 2026 from 1 to 3 p.m. Donations in Memory of Carole may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Always enjoyed my visits with her when I was picking up my Avon at her mom’s. She would drive out with her beautiful convertible. Nice memories! Our deepest sympathies!
