It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that the family of Beverley June Collins announces her peaceful passing on Friday, October 3, 2025. Beverly passed away at 81 years old, at Brockville General Hospital following a courageous and sudden battle with brain cancer.
Beverley was born to Cecil and Alma Canning (nee Grant) on September 7, 1944. She shared a close relationship with her sister Linda Eustace (Frank) and was predeceased by her late brothers Garry and Bernard.
Family was at the center of Beverley’s life. She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, David Collins. She is the proud and loving mother of Mark (Nicole), Lesley (George), and Jason (Cheryl), and the grandmother to her amazing grandchildren Kurtis (Sarah-Lynne), Adam (Hannah), Lily, Lennon, Madison (Joey) and Nicholas. Nothing brought her more joy than cheering on her grandchildren, whether she was at school events, the baseball diamond, or the hockey rink. She was always their biggest fan.
As a lifelong resident of the South Mountain area, Beverley formed lasting friendships with her neighbours including the Panciuk, Crowder, and Pinhey families, among many others. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, quiet strength, and a deep love for her family and community.
Her memory will be cherished by her extended family, including sister-in-law Ruth Clarke (Joe), brother-in-law Ken Collins (Linda Rose), her Aunt Sheila Rennick (Roz) as well as many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbours.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Mountain Township Agricultural Hall, 2967 Lough Road, South Mountain. Family and friends are invited to attend and share memories in honour of Beverley’s life.
Rest in peace Mom,
Your beloved family

October 9, 2025 at 8:28 pmDave, Mark, Leslie and Jason, I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Bev. I have fond memories of many weekends when my brother Mark Grant and I would go to your place to say hello while we were visiting our dad (Arnold) and about 8 months ago I saw Bev at the hockey rink in Prescott and we had a nice visit. Bev was always so friendly and welcoming. My deepest sympathies to your entire family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Tammy Grant
